What’s it with this guy Joel Christopher? He’s known as the Master List Builder, he made his fortune through internet marketing, he networks with people of significant influence, has joint ventures with numerous “Big” names in the business, personal development, internet marketing industry (to name a few). And yet, there is something about this man that is beyond comprehension. What makes him tick? Why does he, in spite of all the wealth, fame and fortune that he’s accumulated, decide to spend time nurturing people to become successful entrepreneurs? Knowing that many of these students are “energy vampires”, simply waiting to plug in their fangs and suck his energy (and resources) dry. The ultimate question I’m trying to figure out here is… What’s it about this man that makes people resonate toward him?

When he arrived in Singapore, he appeared wearing Bermudas and T-Shirt. A warm welcome, a quick hug and we were off to his hotel to help him get settled into Singapore and prepared for our evening networking session. Through the journey, we chat about “stuff”, business and social, had a few gossips and a few good laughs. Later into the journey, I realized something strange about the man. He doesn’t flaunt his wealth, did not wear any ‘branded’ goods, doesn’t wear jewelry, doesn’t wear a watch and Oh My! Doesn’t carry his cell phone??? Not a Prima Donna kind of speaker? He flies economy class but when he’s with his family, he flies first class because he wants to give them the best? At this stage, the busy / kiasu Singaporean in me starts to wonder, is this how a successful business person carries himself? Cos the interpretation I have of successful people look like Donald Trump and Oprah Winfrey. So what then is this kind of successful person? It is not enough that you build your list. You may manage to build your list effectively but if you are not able to sustain that list and master it effectively, you will not really generate long-term profits from it.

The mastery mindset is what will really bring in the profits for you. This is also what will help you make best use of whatever available resources you have. If you have already established yourself that you intend to do this internet marketing business for the long term, you need to be able to do three things.

Number One: Master the System.

Mastery of the system will help you really excel with what you do. Your system, no matter how sophisticated or filled with benefits for your business, will not be used effectively if you do not have mastery of the system. The system will work best for you if you knew all its nooks and crannies.

As much as you possibly can, take every opportunity to get to know your system more. Should you feel inclined to introduce changes that will help you in your system, familiarize yourself with everything: the changes, the existing setup and all the other elements.

You can clearly say that you have mastered the system completely when you are already able to do the nuances of the system without having to consult a manual to do so. Become a guru of your own system and make sure that you are able to keep updating and upgrading yourself.

Number Two: Work on the Master List of Buyers.

Ideally, you must convert all your subscribers into buyers. But this does not always happen. If you work on your master list of buyers first, you will be able to make the best and productive use of your time effectively. The master list of buyers consists of those who are going to be able to buy more from you instantly.

How do you know who are your master list of buyers? Well, you have to test each of your leads or prospects who opt-in for your list. The master list of buyers comprises of those who have the monetary capacity, the willingness to purchase from you and increased buying frequency. The more recent your buyer, the better.

Number Three: Be a Systems’ Thinker.

Think in system because the whole universe is a system. Even the very last atom in our body is systematized. And that is how nature works. If you are able to think in terms of systems, you will not be left behind by the rest of the universe. You need to understand where you are to anchor your business.

The mastery mindset does not come overnight, but it is something that you can do over time with much determination and drive. Harnessing the power of the system is very important in order for you to achieve the mastery mindset.

With mastery mindset, you can expect increased productivity and effectivity, more profits or income, as well as increased likelihood for sustainability.

The right steps to take in your internet marketing business will ensure that you will not have to worry about missing anything as you do it.

Goal

Your goal is what marks the end of your success road map. Where are you headed and what you intend to accomplish with what you do is the very thing that will sustain you and will keep you looking forward to doing business. Your goal will help you determine your options and steps, and this will keep you from evil distractions.

Plan

Your plan is just as important. Once you have made up your mind with regard to your goal, the next thing to do is have a viable plan of action. If you are well able to construct your plan and be ready for those worst case scenarios, you won’t be caught offguard by developments. In this business, it really pays to be flexible.

Team

Who is the right team for your business? Be it known that you can never do it alone as you flourish in this business. Now that everything is settled and you now have a team to back you up, the next thing to consider is your execution. Qn: Do you need to give yourself Permission to become a Millionaire?

Interesting question yeah?

“What do you mean give yourself permission to be a millionaire?”

“Of course everyone wants to be a millionaire!”

Well interestingly, I realised that becoming a millionaire starts with first giving yourself permission to become a millionaire. Let me share with you some experiences.

Many of you have heard of ‘The Secret’ right? I learnt about the Law of Attraction since 1999 but have never really been a faithful user of the law. Thanks to The Secret DVD, I started using the law again. All with a simple mantra recommended by Rev Michael Beckwith on The Oprah Show. That mantra is “I’m available to more good than I’ve ever experienced, realised or imagined.”

What happened over the next few weeks…… well I can’t really find the word but I can only best describe it as magical. (By the way, I still am not the most faithful of users…… not very consistent) The things that have been presented to me as a result were totally out of my expectations or calculations. Here’s what happened.
